Whether you're visiting family and friends in Perth or exploring further afield in Western Australia, these maps will be useful for planning your visit.
The Perth city area is shown on the Perth central city map, complete with street names. Red, yellow and blue CAT buses are shown as well as ferry departure points. For an overview showing a 5km radius from the city centre look at the inner city suburbs map.
The Perth metropolitan area extends from Yanchep in the north to Mandurah in the south - a distance of around 120 kilometres, and occupies a 40 kilometre wide coastal strip bounded by the Indian Ocean and the Darling Ranges. For more information on Perth's port city see the map of Fremantle. Many of Perth's suburbs have extensive waterfront areas along the coast and the Swan River. The Sunset Coast stretches from Cottesloe to Yanchep whilst the Peel Region includes the area from Rockingham south to Mandurah and east to Dwellingup.
The section of the Darling Scarp known as the Perth Hills extends from Chittering in the north to Serpentine and Jarrahdale in the south and contains WA's oldest wine producing region; the Swan Valley. Beyond the hills to the east of Perth, the Avon Valley will enchant you with its crisp, clean air, charming architecture and magical scenery.
The South West of Western Australia is made up of the Bunbury region, the Blackwood River Valley, the world-famous Margaret River Wine region, southern forests and the Great Southern region. Travel to the Golden Outback to visit the Kalgoorlie Goldfields, Esperance and Wildflower and Farmstay country. To the north of Perth the Indian Ocean Drive will take you to Ningaloo Reef and the Shark Bay World Heritage Area on the Coral Coast and, further north, visit the Pilbara and the Kimberley regions in the North West. |
